Christopher Boyko is a United States District Judge in the Northern District of Ohio. He presided over a suit against Dick Jacobs filed by his nephews in November, 2004 concerning the management of their trust, Jacobs v. Jacobs, Case No. 04-2235. The case was dismissed in September, 2006. Judge Boyko, in the dismissal order, recited that the Plaintiff nephew expressed regret over negative statements made concerning his uncle, Dick Jacobs and retracted them. When William Maloof was before Judge Boyko as a Plaintiff in May, 2007, (Maloof v. BT Commercial Corp. et al. Case No. 07-1902) he asked him to transfer the case to Judge Aldrich. Judge Boyko refused, and in response to Maloof’s Motion to Reconsider his refusal, which pointed out his conduct regarding Jacobs, a defendant in the Maloof case, attempted to cite Maloof and his counsel for contempt when he was reminded of his conduct in the Jacobs case. In August, 2007, he threatened counsel with incarceration in open court during a hearing of the Order to Show Cause for Contempt, while U. S. Marshalls stood at the back of the courtroom. He then recused himself in November, 2007.
